ChinaHeart kids love swimming lessons!

Each week the babies at Dove’s Wings are being taken for swimming lessons. With the supervision of our dedicated physiotherapist and a qualified Australian swimming teacher these Chinese babies are not only receiving the stimulation water experience provides but they are also developing skills that will help them become the swimming champions of tomorrow.

Well maybe not quite, but they are learning to hold their breath in water, kick, find the edge of the pool and pull themselves out of the water. It is delightful to see their progress and see them enjoying the water more and more. The babies also do organised activities each morning to help develop their social, cognitive, listening and language skills. They do activities such as painting, drawing, singing, face painting, puzzles and whatever other ideas we come up with! Different volunteers come to help on different days and make the foster care home not only benefit the babies but provide a way for the community to love the children too.
