Your support goes towards caring for children in so many different circumstances. Some are in orphanages, others are living with foster families and still others are with their family but in rural villages where they ahve very small inconsistent incomes on which to live.
Imagine sleeping in snowy conditions with little or noroom heating. We recently fitted out a brand new wash room for the toddlers and babies. As winter approaches just having a bath can be a chilling experience. So we've just installed new baths, heat lamp/fans, benches for resting babies on as they are dried in the warmth and drawer units for storing their nappies etc.
ChinaHeart heated these 9 sleeping rooms to fight off the impact of the snow and cold winds. These mentally challenged children and adults will are sleeping better. But there are still many more who will sleep in the cold...
Education is vital. If children and young adults can receive an education they are better prepared not only for the short term but for life. ChinaHeart recently sponsored 3 orphaned children into a new school which prepares children for university level education. Some of the children we support have a 2 hour walk to school Monday morning and then back Friday evening.
Not all the schools we have access to are able to do this but nearly any education is better than none.
Some of the ways your support helps include:
- financial support so families can eat
- clothing to protect against the upcoming winter snows
- playground equipment in the orphanage
- School support and fees
- equipment for the orphnage such as heaters / air conditioners
